An easy hike with very little elevation gain, many beaches and incredible view of the whole area. Start from Hofsøy Bygdemuseum or from Stangnes.
8 KM from start to finish, but feel free to turn around at any beach you prefer.

About a one hour hike to the 300 meter peak with an incredible 360 degree view of the whole area.
A 350 vertimal meter climb through beautiful forest starting at an old traktor road. Typical obvious hike if you stay at Senja Fjordhotell and want a hike right from your accomodation. You can extend the hike and contintue the ridge up to 722 masl. Stunning view of the Stonglandsodden Peninsula and the surrounding mountains.
Very similar to Snauheia. You might meet a lot of sheep and you can extend this to an advanced hike to Steinskarfjellet.
From Åkollen you have a very cool view of the area, and do you continue to Steinskarfjellet you'll see all the ridgelines of the Southern Peninsula.
An easy hike from the top road point between Ådalen and Rødsand village. Stunning view of the fjord and village and the steep wall of Fiskenestindan.
The hike can be extended in unmarked terrain to Fiskenestindan or trough the pass down to Eagle Bay. Experienced hikers only.

Easy, beautiful valley hike following the lake and river all the way down to the hidden and forgotten community of Bunkan. Little beach, waterfall, freshwater lakes and rivers all the way. Very wet in early season! If you walk this just half the way you turn around at the top view point before the waterfall from "store bunkevatnet" to "litje bunkevatnet"
Start by following the trail from "senja på langs" (senja through-hike trail) - but cut away to the south once you climb up the valley to the saddle. Unmarked the rest of the way, but very easy. 885 meter vertical gain makes this one of the tallest peaks, and very undercommunicated.
This mountain can also be climbed directly from Culture Cabin Retreat following the ridgeline all the way.
Take the car and drive to the second finger of Senja where the road ends at Flakstadvåg. On the way down to the village, you find a parking on your right with a trail leading up to Salberget.
An absolutely incredible place to be, and I always, always recommend this. Very few people come this way, and the views of Ånderdalen National Park, the Inner Seal Fjord, and the full south peninsula is incredible. Too, you get to be right next to the intimidating Kvænan rugged ridgeline.
Can be extended up to "Litje Salberget" through an exciting ridgeline climb.
If you want to go fishing or swimming in an absolute incredible mountain lake, then this is the place. An easy hike and an amazing place to cool down.
Climb this day or night - all good. 846 vertical meter gain and some parts a little steep. The hike follows a wide ridgeline for most parts which gives you a great variety of views on the way. The view from the top one is of the best.
A medium lenght and difficult hike to 438 meter view point. Obvious to go if you're staying in Skrolsvik. Can be used as entrance for Buviktinden, which is a demanding hike to the peak following the steep and exposed ridgeline.
Many people describe this as having the best view. You see far to the north, and you have the view to all of the fjord and ocean surrounding the southern tip of Senja. It's a 853 meter peak and demands good physical conditions of the hiker.
Bring your tent and sleep in a long forgotten fishing village with a wide open view to the west and north and the small islands right off the coast. Hiking starts from Flakstadvåg through a small and for some people a little steep section at the mountain pass at 250 masl. If you follow all the way to Åbergneset, you get the most incredible view. Exposed to the ocean!
Start from Flakstadvåg and follow the train into the valley. At the end of the trail climb up the NW facing ledge following a riverbed. At the ridgeline you can follow it all the way to Husfjellet, Aksjeltindan and Lendepolltindan.
This is a long and more demanding hike, as you don't follow a clear trail.
Straight from the fjord and up to the top at 935 masl. One of the tallest peaks of Senja. An incredible view of the pinnacles, ridgelines all over and the horizon out at sea. Not difficult, but a little longer.
